Hi!

Unfortunately, you can't use this application to perform a DFU over USB with a custom board.. The Programmer application only supports Nordic MCUboot devices, which means the device needs to have a Nordic vendor ID and supported MCUboot product ID.

I will ask if this is something we will support in the future, but for now, you will have to use a command line tool.

I did, no luck whatsoever.

Just to clarify: I'm able to read-write-erase the 9160 memory when using SWD interface (ribbon cable connected through the NRF9160-DK). My issue has to do with DFU over UART (USB through FTDI chip) through the NRF Connect Programmer app on a custom board that's not the Thingy91.

Can you try restarting nRFConnect for desktop, and restarting the board?

Is "Read" enabled? Could you double check by mousing over the button?

Hi Kele,
I did un-check the box for "Enable MCUboot", but all the buttons are greyed-out. Here's a pic of what I see:

Try unchecking the MCUboot option, and then click "Read" memory, then "Write" the new FW. Please advise if this fixes the problem.
