I am using nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_v4.1.0_32ce5f8.
1. While referring to the Nordic Semiconductor Infocenter . I observed that in nRF5 SDK v16.0.0 there is one option for "Experimental: IoT Examples" under the "Bluetooth low energy examples

RE: Problems with nRF5 SDK
But a local Nordic sales representative recommended that zephyr is a preferred way to develop moving forward.
In general I would say that nRF5 SDK is maintained and supported, but for new features I would recommend to look at nRF Connect SDK: http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/index.html There will be more and more examples for the nRF Connect SDK.
