&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/51487/how-to-make-device-hid-compatible-with-win-mac"&gt;This case&lt;/a&gt; presents more or less the same question, and unfortunately, it does not seem like there are any straight forward ways of doing&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;OS detection&amp;quot; like this. It seems like Apple&amp;#39;s IOS utilizes the characteristic &amp;quot;Manufacture String name (2A29) inside the Device information service (&lt;a href="https://www.bluetooth.com/specifications/assigned-numbers/"&gt;180A&lt;/a&gt;). You can check whether different OS BLE variants utilizes this service as well, as suggested in the older ticket.&lt;/p&gt;
