For your new design you should look at nRF52XXX series which is BLE 5.0 and has latest features.

https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Low-power-short-range-wireless/Bluetooth-low-energy

nRF51xxx is old Genration supporting BLE4.2 and is also commercially costlier than nRF52xxx

Since you feel nRf51822 suits you , so you should look at nRF52810 or nRF52832, If you share your detailed specs to my email Id , i will suggest you the best suitable part. For Reference its all available in below links , Pls check https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Low-power-short-range-wireless/nRF52810/Download#infotabs

Thank you for the reply.

Can I get some reference schematics for BLE tracking using nRF chips?

RE: Reg : BLE tracking using nRF51822

Hi,

Is the link that you've sketched wireless? It's fully possible to have a wireless link between a nRF51822 and a Mobil phone by using BLE. We even have examples in the SDK that you can flash to a nRF51 DK and test with a mobile phone.

regards

Jared

EDIT: Ah, missed the sentence with BT ;) The answer is YES, it's fully possible.
