Ah, I was previously developing with the nRF9160 so I didn't know there was another SDK. OK, this was super helpful!

Hello,

How familiar are you with the Nordic products? Currently we have two SDK, nRF5 SDK and nRF Connect SDK.

nRF5 SDK is our stable SDK for nRF51- and nRF52-series currently at version 17.0.2 and has some support for FreeRTOS.

nRF Connect SDK is our newest SDK currently with most support for nRF91- and nRF53-series, using Zephyr OS to allow more advanced features in the Arm Cortex M33 processor found in nRF9160 and nRF5340.

Please note that not all samples in Zephyr are tested by Nordic on given devices, and that support may have been added by community. The tested samples are available here.
