It looks like you also need to enable UART_LEGACY_SUPPORT to 1 as well.

I have used NRFX_UARTE0_ENABLED and UART_EASY_DMA_SUPPORT in the config.h file. It did not help. There is more update in this - I started using 'examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart' since it already has BLE integrated. I am able to use thread, ble and uart together. Only difference is uart is single byte read/write and I need to write multibyte array but that can be managed.

I am sorry for the late reply. Can you try to set NRFX_UARTE0_ENABLED to 1 in sdk_config.h and see if it helps? And check if UART_EASY_DMA_SUPPORT is set to 1 as well.
