Erase using the command line acted the same.

However, I did finally manage to bring the board back to life. Holding the reset button down while selecting target->Connect JLink then releasing reset 1/2 second later put the board in a state where the erase command would work. I was able to program the device after that also.

Other info: Reloading the mesh/light sample put it back into that state, and the reset trick brought it back to life. The peripherial_lbs sample did not have that problem. When I tried using an external bl652 module the mesh sample worked find. An external EByte module worked too.

Try erasing the nRF using nRF Command line tools and the command "nrfjprog --eraseall" and see if it works again after that.
