First of all thank you for your quick answer. So I'll find the necessary information haphazardly, reading through the documentation... Not ideal indeed...

Fortunately it's quite easy to manage finding dependencies with peripheral drivers. However, it's another game as it's about finding libraries dependencies. Do you have any suggestions to find it ?

Unfortunately, I don't have any quick fix for you, other than to take a look at an example that use the driver you are interested in (e.g. SPIM), and include the same files and defines as that project.

It's not ideal, and the reason why it's not ideal is mostly historical reasons, where we still support old legacy hardware and api. For instance, you may find that the documentation indirectly describe part of the reason:
