&lt;p&gt;I experienced the same issue as you and found out that it was because my installation path for the SDK was too long. Try reducing the length of the path in the Settings section of Toolchain Manager to something like C:/ncs and reinstall the SDK there. Then you can try building with SES again.&lt;/p&gt;

Have you tried &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/1.5.0/nrf/gs_programming.html#building-on-the-command-line"&gt;building the project from command line&lt;/a&gt;? This can be done by opening either Bash or Command prompt from the dropdown menu in Toolchain Manager.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
