Hi Gwen,

I experienced the same issue as you and found out that it was because my installation path for the SDK was too long. Try reducing the length of the path in the Settings section of Toolchain Manager to something like C:/ncs and reinstall the SDK there. Then you can try building with SES again.

I removed the installation, and reinstalled directly on the C drive (no virtual config with OneDrive that manages the MyDocuments folders)

Now the build is successful.

ps: how do I upgrade to 1.5.0 on Linux (Ubuntu)?

It is stuck in 1.4.99.

That might be the issue, as we have seen this blocking the server where Toolchain Manager downloads from. Please try without.

You are using the same version as me, so that should not give you these issues.

It is a corporate computer.

I'm running VPN at the same moment, will try without, but have no control over Virus protection.

The Toolchain manager is managed by nRF Connect, actually at version v0.9.1

I'm using the open IDE button, but get claims on the license of SES.

I'm trying to reinstall the full package (first issue a remove)

No, this should not be an issue, however, VPN and Virus protection might have an impact when installing NCS in Toolchain Manager. Is this a corporate computer or a private computer?

What version of the Toolchain Manager are you using? And to verify, are you opening SES from the "Open IDE" button in Toolchain Manager?

I did install using the toolchain manager on Windows and installed the 1.5.0 (later I also installed the 1.5.0-rc1 lower in the table), it is an upgrade from an earlier install.

I try to upgrade West, but fail the explication on the West tool pages.

NCS v1.5.0 needs west v0.9.0. That said the Toolchain Manager version of NCS v1.5.0 includes both Python 3.7 and west 0.9.0. Are you using a manually installed version of NCS?

Can you please elaborate on your setup?

I tried the command "west build", which resulted in a claim that the west version was too old (0.8.0)

Hello,

I assume you are using the Toolchain Manager. Can you please tell me how you are opening the project? Have you tried building the project from command line? This can be done by opening either Bash or Command prompt from the dropdown menu in Toolchain Manager.
