Please don't put the entire question in the title:

A "beacon", by definition, is just a broadcaster.

But an nRF52 can certainly perform both Central and Peripheral roles.

You can't really compute distance from RSSI value - the best you can get is a near/far estimate.

You can put data in the Advertising
