It seems like you're using the wrong example folder. The correct one is PCA10040e. Could you double-check that you're using the correct one?

Hey Thanks Oneil,

My question was when I try to click on the Green button in Segger IDE . It does not go in running mode instead it stops immediately.

Do you mean when you try to halt the CPU ?

If you halt the CPU, the BLE stack (the "SoftDevice") will miss its timing deadlines, and will crash.

You need to use Monitor Mode debug:
