Hi,

Your device must be connected to the network and trying to connect to nRF Cloud in order for you to be able to register it in your nRF Cloud account. You cannot register a device that is not in the process of connecting to nRF Cloud. Since you do not have LTE-M or NB-IoT coverage in your area, you will not be able to connect to the network, and therefore you will not be able to connect and add your Thingy:91 to nRF Cloud.

Yes Marte, I have checked by inserting my Idea 4G sim. I am not able to register in nrf cloud .

"There was an error adding your device: No device found for this id. The device has not yet been provisioned. Troubleshoot nRF Code 40412".

I have double checked the IMEI and PIN values are correct. Green, pink and Purple color LEDs are blinking.

Please note I am using the Thingy91 as it is delivered from factory, I did not upload any firmware, assuming assert tracker firmware is already installed. Please help

I am afraid only LTE-M and NB-IoT is supported.

I have checked we don't have LTE-M or NB-IoT network here. Please let me know is there any other options to use our usual 4G sim in Thingy91 to extract the Sensor data using nrf cloud.

Hi Ashiq,

Unfortunately, iBasis does not have LTE-M or NB-IoT coverage in India, as you can see from this link which lists countries that are supported. Therefore, you will not be able to get a network connection using the iBasis SIM card. However, the operator Reliance Jio has support for NB-IoT in India, so you should contact them to see if there is coverage in your area and to get a NB-IoT SIM card.
