Using version 5.14 and I installed the mdk file.

Which version of Keil are you using? Have you installed the nrf51 MDK? (it is inside the zip file i mentioned)

I cannot run the examples in the examples/ble_peripheral folder , I get the error: "The project references, devices, files, or libraries that are not installed. Download and install: Third party support for 'Nordic Semiconductor nRF51422_xxAC (Device not included in Legacy Device Database)'" Github projects seem to be working though. How do I fix this?

The easiest is to download and extract the zip-file of the different SDK versions you need from here: developer.nordicsemi.com/.../

Then extract the example into the ble_peripheral folder (for SD s110 projects) of the corresponding SDKs.

Now you can just open the Keil project from these folders.
