We <a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-tools/Development-Tools/IDEs-and-Toolchains">support</a> Segger Embedded Studio, Keil MDK, IAR and GCC.</p> <p></p> <p>The nRF51822 can scan advertisement packets from other microcontrollers, regardless of which IDE you use to program the application.</p> <p></p> <p>There are a lot of samples available in the nRF5 SDK that showcases how to configure the device as a client, but they&#39;re only available in the IDE&#39;s that Nordic supports.
