The examples only include the SoftDevice as a load file. And if this was the problem it should have been always, so I do not think it is relevant.

No. I suggest you check out Getting started with Nordic's Secure DFU bootloader, a step by step guide.

I see. It is difficult to suggest anything then. If you see it again, perhaps upgrading SES is worth while. Alternatively you could ask Segger.

This issue is very strange, because it is very sporadic. It was happening all the time around the time that I posted. But now it is not happening at all anymore. I did not upgrade my SES version.

I am planning to upgrade my SDK asap.

Hi,

I am not able to explain this, and have never seen it before unless there is actually an overlap. But in that case it should be consistent. Which SES version are you using? Does upgrading to a later SES version help?

The error seems to indicate that load files are overlapping, but I assume the only additional load file is the SoftDevice?

Also, note that SDK 14.2 and the alpha SoftDevice is not supported for production with the nRF52840, so I suggest you migrate to a more current SDK and SoftDevice. The first with production support for the nrF52840 was SDK 15.0.0, but the latest is 17.0.2.
