I would suggest checking out the various Getting Started documentation for the SDK on the Infocenter to get it up and running, and then go on to what we have here on DevZone. This blog points to some video tutorials on YouTube for instance, and if you're new to the SDK and SoftDevice this blog post should be very helpful. More short-range guides can be found here.

Best regards,
Simon

RE: build up centra-peripheral multi board BLE system

Thanks for your help.

we saw both example you suggested but unfortunatly the documentation is not sufficient to understand how to modify the examples in order to adapt them to our application. in the Nordic documentation it is indicated only how to program and switch on the DK, this is very simple but not enough to understand how to use your libraries.
we also studied the documentation of "Nordic UART Service Client" and "Bluetooth low energy central tutorial", they are confusing.

Could you suggest us some clearer documentation? Is there any documentation that we haven't found?

RE: build up centra-peripheral multi board BLE system

Hi again

I understand, that makes sense! We have a few example projects that covers multirole applications in our SDK. Depending on what exactly you're looking I would suggest checking out either the BLE Relay example or the LE Secure Connections Multirole example.

Best regards,

we will use BLE peripheral on the BLE low power sensor.

we can't connect it directy to the smartphone because the Smartphone device is used only to show datas and it is not connected all the time, so we must use a board in the middle to process and store data.

Have you any suggestion about how to implement a BLE central on a FW that already runs BLE peripheral with custom service?

Thanks!

RE: build up centra-peripheral multi board BLE system

Hi

I would recommend going for the second case you've described here, as a peripheral generally consumes noticably less power than a central device, and is therefore way better suited for the low power sensor. I don't see any issue with the second use case.

However, if you're going to develop an app (containing the profile you're describing) for the smartphone, I don't see why you would need the embedded board "in the middle", as a BLE peripheral would be able to transmit data directly to a smartphone as well, and the phone could take care of all processing. I'm sure you have thought about this, and that there's a reason for the embedded/processing board, but I wanted to mention it anyway.

Best regards,
