Hello, I'm having the same problem, but running MCP as an administrator did not fix the issue. Nor did allowing full access to both log.txt files and the DFU subdirectories. The iOS nRF Toolbox app won't allow me to begin the update process either.

I'm just using the "dfu_test_app_hrm.zip” and dfu_dual_bank_ble_s110_pca10028(nRF51 PCA10028) example from the pack installer in the DFU tutorial and it fails every time with the same error message: "FAILED TO OPEN TRANPORT BACKEND" Does DFU work with the latest versions of the SDK and softdevices? I suspect something has changed since the tutorial was written. Thanks!

@Deepu: Please give us more information on:

Bootloader firmware you used
Softdevice version
Steps you did to test the bootloader.
What board did you use on the PC for MCP for testing ?
A sniffer trace could be very useful.
