&lt;p&gt;The most common reason for the &amp;quot;flash download error&amp;quot; is if the application overlap with a Softdevice image that&amp;#39;s already programmed onto the device. And the peripheral blinky example starts at address 0x0, same as the Softdevice. Please try to erase the chip before you program the application to confirm.&lt;/p&gt;
