After request to SEGGER and get the workable example project. I compare it to the nrf9160 project the difference come from this jlinkscript exec command. Just add the following jlinkscript to unlock tpiu 1st to output the etm trace data.

}

Hello!

It's Segger that provides the ETM trace samples for Nordic products, so I suggest reaching out to them either on their forum or technical support. In the meantime I could take a quick look at your code I could see if there are any additional configurations or changes that should be done. I have also reached out to the developers to see if they have any more information about this.
