On Linux or macOS, use the&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/gs_assistant.html#gs-app-gsa"&gt;&lt;span&gt;Getting Started Assistant&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span&gt;. &lt;p&gt;The error I am getting :&amp;nbsp;scripts/kconfig/conf --silentoldconfig Kconfig&lt;br /&gt;***&lt;br /&gt;*** Configuration file &amp;quot;.config&amp;quot; not found!&lt;br /&gt;***&lt;br /&gt;*** Please run some configurator (e.g. &amp;quot;make oldconfig&amp;quot; or&lt;br /&gt;*** &amp;quot;make menuconfig&amp;quot; or &amp;quot;make xconfig&amp;quot;).&lt;br /&gt;***&lt;br /&gt;make[2]: *** [scripts/kconfig/Makefile:50: silentoldconfig] Error 1&lt;br /&gt;make[1]: *** [Makefile:539: silentoldconfig] Error 2&lt;br /&gt;make: Nothing to be done for &amp;#39;samples/bluetooth/hci_uart&amp;#39;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;We have &lt;a href="http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/index.html"&gt;NCS &lt;/a&gt;that supports the&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;Zephyr BLE stack now, and there are some&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/samples/bluetooth/bluetooth.html"&gt;samples &lt;/a&gt;supporting HCI. I would suggest you start from there.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
