Thanks for the reply. I installed via nRF Connect's Getting Started app and followed its instructions. All appeared to install well (I also used --user to avoid permission issues). I've even attempted a manual install of pyyaml - pip3 told me that it is already installed. Any more ideas? The error indicates that you are missing the "yaml" python module. Did you install the nRF Connect SDK (NCS) using the Toolchain Manager or manually? If the latter could you try to install the Python dependencies again entering the ncs directory and calling:

pip3 install -r zephyr/scripts/requirements.txt
pip3 install -r nrf/scripts/requirements.txt
pip3 install -r bootloader/mcuboot/scripts/requirements.txt

You may have to add the "--user" flag at the end.

Best regards,
Carl Richard

RE: Another create_nordic_project failed issue

In case it helps, I'm able to build and flash a basic blinky app with the Zephyr install via the CLI: https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/getting_started/index.html
