&lt;p&gt;If you connect MISO to MOSI, you can loop back the transmission. Then you shall receive the same thing as you send.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You use the default setup for the SPIM communication, which is 4 MHz clock. Try setting your sample rate in Saleae to &amp;gt;=8MHz.&lt;/p&gt;
