Hello,

I had tried the nrfprog --recover, but the problem still persists

I manage to perform the firmware/flash programming by first clicking the "Erase ALL" button inside the nRF desktop connect. And then the "Write" wording become black color(initially the Write Word is grey color after i add all the relevant HEX files for firmware Write)

At the end, i manage to see that a message "Write procedure finished", indicating that the firmware write is successful

This problem is solved.

Before i reach this step. I actually perform all the setup step below

1.https://www.segger.com/downloads/jlink/JLink_Windows.exe ; (Jink 7.20a version, double click that .exe file to execute installation)

2. nRF desktop connect version that i use is 3.6.0

3. https://developer.nordicsemi.com/.pc-tools/nrfconnect-apps/pc-nrfconnect-programmer-1.4.7.tgz
Copy paste the file under the %USERPROFILE%\.nrfconnect-apps\local folder(if there are some folder/files
inside this folder, delete all of them)

4. Start the nRF connect, you should choose the Programmer with (local wording version)

Is this chip factory programmed with some firmware? seems like readback protection was enabled when you got it. Check if it is read back protected and erase the chip using

> nrfjprog --recover -f nrf51
