I see this is now supported:

Is it still the case that we need to wire it back to another pin in order to get an interrupt usable in software?

Hello. Sorry, there is some confusion around this topic. Currently, the 1PPS is not available but added support for in the modem FW. The official support will be in NCS v1.6.0, however, may be available in the master branch of NCS as an early release. It is not available today unfortunately. Please contact your local RSM for the release date of NCS v1.6.0

I haven't actually tried. Setting up a test for that is a bit of work and I don't have much confidence, so I'm hoping for some definitive information to avoid having to do so. Please let me know if you hear anything back!

Hi Heath,

Sorry for the late reply. Have you tried to measure for a pulse signal on the COEX1 pin while the GPS is active?

The only AT command I could find is AT%XGPIOTEST, but not sure if that is correct. I've forwarded the question to our modem team.
