PB-GATT advertising allows an&nbsp;<span>unprovisioned device to be provisioned by a device that cannot support the advertising bearer, like a phone or tablet.</span></p> <p><span>2. Yes, you should be able to scan for an unprovision mesh node without the proxy feature. But note that without the proxy feature you won&#39;t be able to&nbsp;communicate with the rest of the Bluetooth mesh network.&nbsp;A device does not need to support both the GATT provisioning bearer (PB-GATT) and the Proxy feature, but in the&nbsp;<a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.meshsdk.v5.0.0/md_examples_light_switch_README.html">Light switch example</a>&nbsp;applications, both are supported by default.</span></p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
