If you have an external debug probe, then you can program it with west flash as described&nbsp;<a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/boards/arm/nrf52840dongle_nrf52840/doc/index.html#option-3-using-an-external-debug-probe">here</a>. If not, you must the built-in bootloader, and use either nrfutil or the nRF Connect Programmer application to program it.
