&lt;p&gt;Pin P0.07 is used by the OpenThread stack for automatic HWFX detection, see &lt;a href="https://github.com/openthread/openthread/tree/6fa74b7674154733d0934e2deee0860743b9ee5d/examples/platforms/nrf528xx/nrf52840#hardware-flow-control-detection"&gt;Hardware Flow Control detection&lt;/a&gt; section in the github documentation for the OpenThread stack for nRF52840.&lt;/p&gt;
