My colleague Vidar <a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/40476/unable-to-convert-to-long-range-after-looking-at-umpteen-examples--/157300#157300">modified the ble_app_uart and ble_app_uart_c examples to use Coded PHY by default in this case</a>, so you can use that for reference.</p> <p>Keep in mind that the advertising data flags (<strong>init.advdata.flags</strong>) must be set to&nbsp;<strong>BLE_GAP_ADV_FLAGS_LE_ONLY_GENERAL_DISC_MODE,&nbsp;</strong>which I think was missed in Vidar&#39;s example if my memory serves me correctly.</p> <p>Best regards,</p> <p>Simon</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
