i just compiled it to 10040 and i can see the data in systemview and save it,
 but when i try to read them i get error RTT Control Block not found

I have managed to make this work for SDK17.2 with ble_app_freertos. Please find the attached project, which includes the patched files to test it yourself

I'm now seeing Could not find SystemView Buffer error. Am I not supposed to invoking some APIs in the application?

We take a look at that patched file. It is not a patch file format, so you cannot use the git diff. Try to unzip the file and replace the corresponding files in the SDK.

so Nordic doesn't really have official support for systemview since the patches aren't integrated?

What's the preferred way of applying a patch? I downloaded the patch files and run the following commands inside project/pca10056/s140/ses, and get an error:

error: invalid path '../../../../../../external/freertos/source/include/FreeRTOS.h'

git diff ../../../../../../external/freertos/source/include/FreeRTOS.h ../../../../SystemView\ Patched\ files/FreeRTOS.h > rtos-conf.patch

git apply rtos-conf.patch

Hi! In the last comment, it's mentioned that the changes will be integrated into the nRF's SDK 10 months ago. Can you please clarify if they have been integrated yet?
