Hi there,

Can you measure directly on the VDD pin on the IC and confirm that you measure 3V?
Could you share your schematic(I can make the case private first)?
How many samples do you see this issue on?
You should not connect VTG to VDD on the nRF if you are already supplying the board externally. Then you only need to connect VTG to VDD on your custom board.

Not really it should be pretty straightforward. You only need to connect the custom board to either the P19 or P20 debug out header on the development kit. If the board is supplied externally then you don't need to supply VDD from the DK. The debugger on the development kit will flash the custom board instead of the nRF when it detects the supply on VTG.

i dont think i made a reset pin extention on my board so i cant measure it . Do i need to do any thing else other than connecting the cables and opening segger embedded studio , target , connect j-link ? am i doing it from the wrong place ? can you pls demonstrate step by step which buttons should i pres after connecting the cables

What voltage do you measure on the reset pin on your custom board?

yes dk is connected with usb and im powering PCB with coin cell battery 3 Volts ( i also tried powering it with dk's vdd and ground ) and with connections made i open segger embedded studio and push - target- Connect j_link and this error comes to the screen

And you are powering the pcb enterally? and the DK is connected with USB to the computer?

i did the connections like the image but it still gives the same problem i didnt made a library that defines the custom pcb pins can this be the reason if it is can you help me out with an example

I am using dk and the circuit was almost the same the only thing is that i didnt connect dks ground and gnd detect together i will try this as soon as posible and let you know till then thanks for your answer

Hi Efe,

are you using a DK or a jlink to flash your pcb?

To use a DK you use the debug out pin on the DK, and connect to the SWD interface on your pcb. Remember that you need to externally supply your pcb.
