there are two examples given

Band 4 = 1000

band 4 and 13 =

1000000001000

which is not that helpful,

you can use the %XBANDLOCK AT command or alternatively update your prj.conf with the following commands:

CONFIG_LTE_LOCK_BANDS

and

CONFIG_LTE_LOCK_BAND_MASK

Just a little tip: If you are using SES for building, you have to make sure that you run "Project" --> "Run CMake" after updating prj.conf and before re-building.

Could you please use the AT Client application, build it with modem trace support enabled and fire the following commands while recording a modem trace?

The aim for me is to get the device attached to the NB-IoT LAB network.

Is it possible to have a quick call to discuss the situation?

I am little bit nervous now, because, Nokia radio engineer has confirmed me that there is no registration request is reaching to the antenna,

how to confirm that the device is requesting for the access?

if i do AT+CSQ, then device is returning "OK"

if i do AT+COPS=?, then device is returning "time out"

I want to configure device to hunt only Band 3, can you please send me the AT command list?

I am referring the AT command guide here "Nordic Semiconductor Infocenter"

I tried command

AT%XCBAND=?,
but again, getting time out

Do I need any tool to fire the AT command?

Please advise me further

Hello Abhishek,

just to double-check some things:

Have you re-build the Asset Tracker application after you applied the change to prj.conf?
I’m a little confused by all the AT commands in the beginning of the log. The Asset Tracker application basically should connect itself to the cloud given that your SIM card is activated properly and you successfully have registered your device to the nRF Cloud. Please follow the Asset Tracker application guideline.

i made those changes, but device is still not registering to the network

I have attached the device logs here,

could you please point out if device is successfully scanning the NB-IoT cell, PLMN 99920,

I am within the vicinity of the antenna, it is an indoor set up,

We have Nokia radios,

We are troubleshooting with Nokia, and at the moment Nokia is claiming that device is not requesting for the registration on NB-IoT,

We have deployed it on B3 inband singnalling,

Nokia also claims that they have successfully used this device in the lab, so do I am trying here in my set up.

I really appreciate your time here,

We can discuss it over the phone if you would like, so I can give you some more background .

If we can rule out that device is configured correctly for B3 inband NB-IoT, and it is sending the registration request, with the evidences from the device log, then we are in a good position,

Please check your installation directory, as shown in the picture below:

From that point on, the Asset Tracker application is located in ../nrf/applications/asset_tracker.

NCS v1.5.1 is the version I recommend you use right now.

You can find the prj.conf of the Asset Tracker application in ../ncs/nrf/applications/asset_tracker. After modifying the file, you have to rebuild the application before you can flash it.

If that is not where you are expecting me to update the prj.conf, then can you show me the path, where this file is saved in the directory?

I have checked the folder C:\Users\testb\AppData\Roaming\nrfconnect, but can't find it

I can see that the application firmware on the nRF9160: Asset Tracker, right?

Have you updated the prj.conf of this application as I told you? Because then the application should be able to establish a network connection.

Yesterday after few hours, the device has recognized VF SIM and registered with NB-IoT

now, this morning i have switched to the testbed SIM card, starting with 99920

This is still not accepting,

I am trying to set up Band 3, with AT command (below are the example AT commands from Quectel, I could not find the replacement AT commands for nRF9160)

Select Band 3

the device is not accepting any AT command,

i have done few restarts,

though it is showing a flashing amber on the screen,

How can I verify that the device is scanning for NB-IoT,

if it does then it should be showing me a print like this
