I use NRF Connect V3.6.1 on Windows 10 Pro - 64 bits with a seeger JLink.
I have updated the nRF programmer to v1.4.9
When I try to flash image in the nRF52840, I got the following message : 2021-06-02T13:05:33.721Z ERROR Error: Error occured

RE: Firmware update impossible using nRF Connect V3.6.1

Hello,

The issue has been assigned to the team, but I'm not able to give you a timeline for a fix yet. In the meantime you may downgrade to v1.4.8 or use nrfjprog from the command line.

To downgrade, you have to install the old release as a local app. The old version is available here: https://developer.nordicsemi.com/.pc-tools/nrfconnect-apps/pc-nrfconnect-programmer-1.4.8.tgz

And here are the instructions for installing local apps: https://nordicsemiconductor.github.io/pc-nrfconnect-docs/local_app_installation

Edit: version 1.4.11 with the fix was released just now.

RE: Firmware update impossible using nRF Connect V3.6.1

Hello,

A new programmer version has been released but unfortunately, error is still present on my side.

I was able to reproduce it now. Turns out I needed to use a standalone J-link as the on-board J-link used on the development boards does not appear to be affected by this issue. The team responsible for this release is looking into this now.

RE: Firmware update impossible using nRF Connect V3.6.1

I have been facing the same issue after update to 1.4.9. nrf connect programmer.

NRFgo studio works fine for erasing and updating firmware.

I checked NRF connect programmer 1.4.7 and it was working alright with no issues with erasing and updating.

RE: Firmware update impossible using nRF Connect V3.6.1

Hello,

We saw the same issue (

Error: Error occured when program. Errorcode: CouldNotCallFunction (0x9) Lowlevel error: INVALID_PARAMETER (fffffffd)) while erasing our nordic (NRF52840).

Issue occurs after having upgraded Programmer to 1.4.9

How can we downgrade the programmer version in order to have a system working correctly?

Thanks,

Could you please try the same with nrfjrpog (Programming SoCs with nrfjprog) instead of the programmer app to see if it gives the same result? Also, did you start to see this issue only after you update to v1.4.9 of the programmer app? I have not managed to replicate the error on my side.
