&lt;p&gt;If you use the &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/gs_assistant.html#toolchain-manager"&gt;Toolchain Manager&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;application in nRF Connect for Desktop to open up SES Nordic Edition, then all the paths will be set automatically.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

I tried an example code for setting up spi for nrf 9160 but it is showing error that s&lt;strong&gt;pi.h no such file or directory. I&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;have kept the spi.h file in include and lib folders but still it is showing the error. I am using segger embedded studio (nordic edition). Could you please tell me how to set up the library path and preprocessor option is not showing in the project option. &lt;p&gt;You can use the SPI driver available in Zephyr (see &lt;a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/reference/peripherals/spi.html"&gt;Peripherals: SPI&lt;/a&gt;) to set up SPI communication. Unfortunately, we don&amp;#39;t have any out-of-box SPI samples in NCS.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The closest I can find is the &lt;a href="https://github.com/nrfconnect/sdk-zephyr/tree/master/samples/drivers/spi_fujitsu_fram"&gt;spi_fujitsu_fram sample&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;which specifically shows how to set up SPI communication with the&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;Fujitsu MB85RS64V FRAM.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
