A small clarification on this sentence, our team will maintain the nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee, however, they will not implement any newer features to this SDK.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way, however, can you please specify what support I should have provided while our team was out of office? Have you talked to your RSM regarding this issue? RSM can reach out to the given support engineer to provide proper support if the answer is not sufficient, or if a support ticket needs more attention.

Can you please clarify what issues other have? I can only see issues that you have commented, and as they write, you need to contact us. We do not provide support in Google forums, as DevZone is the official support forum for Nordic Semiconductor.

Hello,

Our Thread developer team informs me that they will not maintain the nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee. The nRF Connect SDK provides the latest and greatest within Thread.

That said, there should not be any issues with communication between examples from the two SDK.

In the meantime I recommend looking at our Thread documentation and our Thread samples:

Yesterday, our nRF Connect SDK reached tag v1.6.0 which includes more information around the Thread protocol.
