There is no need for Keil no, I agree that line if misleading. I suggest to use Segger Embedded Studio:

Hi Kenneth, thank you, I will give the instructions in the post a try, I hope I don't run into the issues contained in the comments below the post...

Do I need to purchase a KEIL MDK license to compile the examples? The post mentions needing this:

Or can I use another compiler? Or does the above only concern those using the Keil MDK? I was planning on using the SES.
