&lt;p&gt;This is possible, yes, if you use the RTT backend for the shell.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In order to do this you need to set the following configuration:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;CONFIG_SHELL=y&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;em&gt;CONFIG_SHELL_BACKEND_RTT=y&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have tested this using the PuTTy client in Windows, using the same settings as described &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/lib_cli.html?cp=8_1_3_10_3#lib_cli_terminal_settings"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please give this a go, and let me know if you have problems getting it working.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
