Sorry @Poka. Timestamps were not important to what I was doing, so I never learned whether you could add them to the logs or how to do it.

DBT I got another doubt related to this. I hope I can ask in the same thread. In the exported log file from the android phone I can not find timestamp for each of the RSSI measurements. Is there again any hidden feature which to be enabled to provide timestamp for each output data?. I have explored setting and other options but could not find anything that can provide timestamp to each of the output data.

At least on my version, under the "5 minutes" option there is a "Manual" option, meaning you manually stop the scanning. That's the setting I'm using.

@DBT, Thanks a lot. I found the settings and see that continuous scanning was already enabled with 45 seconds scanning period. The maximum scanning period shown is 5 minutes. I think we have to scan again after this interval to get more and continuous data.

@Poka you can enable continuous scanning in settings. At the top of the screen, click on the "hamburger" icon (3 horizontal lines) next to the word "Devices". Then choose Settings, Scanner, and enable Continuous scanning.

Hi, I am also using the same app for logging RSSI data for my project. However, I can see that the app allows to log only for 45 seconds and then it stops logging. Is there any settings require so that I can log the RSSI data continuously as long as I want the Bluetooth devices to remain scanned.

Hi,

Yes, it is a hidden feature.

Long press on a device and then select all devices you want to select and hit export from the options menu on top right hand corner.

You may also change the termination character in CSV in the settings(Comma, tab, semicolon).
