 We are working on the nrf52840 custom board in that We trying to update firmware via DFU.

&lt;p&gt;Have you checked that you are not using &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fsdk_nrf5_v17.0.2%2Fgroup__nrf__bootloader__config.html&amp;amp;anchor=gaa89bea64482f2c4d83919922e5e84bc3"&gt;NRF_BL_DFU_ENTER_METHOD_PINRESET &lt;/a&gt;to enter DFU mode on pin reset automatically?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can also check inside dfu_enter_check() function to see in which conditions the bootloader will go into DFU mode or not.&lt;/p&gt;
