Having read the manual, yes. It has DMA on it so it can dump data in and out of memory asynchronously, whether you have time to process it later, that's a different question.

For me the addition of EasyDMA on the new chip is about the most useful thing after the improved processor.

That says December for the production release, interim releases would be a bit unusual, you could as suggested there contact your RSM to see if there's likely to be one. I'm not betting on it.

When the new one comes out can I mail you my board to have the chip swapped :D

Hi, i think i have to wait for this examples ^^. Do you think it will be possible to transfer sound data to a nordic chip while sending other data, like sensor data via services , in the same time?

Thanks for your comments. I think i will do the same, the company i am working for can solder qfn chips, i would never try something like this :D.

So does some one know when DKs with new chip revision will be shipped? Really end of year? It would be nice if some one from nordic could give us some informations.

Hmm, end of the year is not that good. As for QFN 0.4mm pitch, it is doable. Anyway, not good news all in all.

I'm not too hopeful of the new revision coming out so soon, all I've read so far says end of the year.

I have no idea how you replace a QFN! I'm sure I couldn't even start to do it. I was expecting to have to waste the board when the next dev version comes out.

I also ordered nRF52 hoping to try I2S but then was a bit upset after reading Errata. Now my main hope is that new chip revision comes out soon and I can replace the chip on the kit, shouldn't be that difficult as it is QFN as I can see.

Yes all the stuff in the errata will not be working in the preview development kit with the current engineering release of the chip.

Since Nordic writes example code for everything else, expecting an I2S example in the future seems quite likely doesn't it?
