I am trying to program the nRF52 DK with external j-link Base. I am using Debug IN P18 connector and connected the following pins
j-Link base nRF52 DK Debug IN P18 Connector
Pin 7 -------> Pin 2 (SWDIO)
Pin 9 --------> Pin 4 (SWCLK)

What voltage do you measure when you connect the board via P18 and the board is supplied externally via the coin cell? 2.7 V??

RE: Programming nrf52 DK board using external j-link

I have removed the coin battery and powering it through J2 USB. Pin 1 measures 2.7V.
You need to also provide VTG to the debugger, the supply voltage of the DUT. On the 10 pin standard Jtag header, that is Pin 1.
