Can you share wha verion of the DK you have? what does the sticker say ?

GPS detection can often take more then 10 minutes before you have eungh satelites in sight. you need at least 3 before you an gett any positioning data.

Just to check could you try the GPS example and no sim card, and do a test, see how long it takes to get a GPS fix and postion data. Save it as a logg ad share it. Just want to see if there is anything interupting the GPS from the modem or power mangement side in the asset tracker application.

- mfwnrf9160121.zip and mfwnrf9160123.zip with asset_tracker.v1.4.0-rc2.IPv6.20201029-C.hex example .

Is there anything ,apart from below point ,we can look into ?

- We have tested in this scenario as well .

- We have done this with gps antenna which comes with the DK board . But same result .

- You mean to say , GEN-2 boards have better performance related to GPS than GEN-1 Board ?

GPS does not work in doors. I would recommend that you try again outside away from any tall buildings, as this can hinder the signal from reaching the antenna.

Most times the issue is due to something covering the antenna like buildings sealings or people. Have you tested with a external antenna?

That said, the GPS performance on the newer DK's do have some improvements.

We have Tested in outdoor ( 5th floor terrace ) as well as indoor ( inside office , 2nd floor )
