 When we test in one car, the GPS signal is lost when the device is put inside this car. This situation does not happen in other cars. &lt;p&gt;After a quick google search I did find multiple car forums where people have complained about bad GPS reception with tinted heat-absorbent windshields or heat-arbsorbent glass, so this seems to be a common problem for GPS signals.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A car will act as a Faraday cage for RF signals, so ideally the GPS antenna should be place outside the car, as you need a clear vision of the sky to make GPS work.&lt;/p&gt;
