Can you try to increase CONFIG_SHELL_STACK_SIZE even more.

If that doesn't help, follow Error handling-->3.4 Other tips and tools and figure out the exact line that is causing the MPU fault.

tried many other solutions. I never get any thing coming out of my nRF board in terms of expected AT commands. hopefully someone can advice on that.

I've tried this by doing the following

CONFIG_NET_TX_STACK_SIZE=4096
CONFIG_NET_RX_STACK_SIZE=4096
CONFIG_SHELL_STACK_SIZE=4096

still, the same result. never recieved any AT Commands (on the right side is my TTL). and still same problem

I think net iface should show device first

I used this to compile

west build -b nrf52840dk_nrf52840 -- -DSHIELD=esp_8266

This might just be a stack overflow. Could you try to increase CONFIG_SHELL_STACK_SIZE (default is 2048)?
