I don't see any reason for this phone not to be able to scan and detect your DK. Can you try erasing bonding information on both the OnePlus and DK you're using (you can do this with an nrfjprog --eraseall for the DK and reprogram it) as one of the devices might think it's already connected to the other, which is why they don't discover each other.

Hi,

We are using nRF SDK17 & softdevice S112

We are testing with the BLE appUART example code without making any changes.

The nordic device is visible in Oppo K1 having BLE 5.0 but not visible in Oneplus Nord 2 with BLE 5.2

What are these BLE 5.2 and BLE 4 mobile devices? What SDK version are you using? I don't think any phones should be unable to scan for a default version of the ble_app_uart application.

Hi Simonr,

BLE DEVICE is visible only on ble 5.0 specified mobiles. But not visible on Ble 5.2 or BLE 4 SPECIFIED MOBILE.

I am using a custom design board using nrf52810. yes, the device is programmed with both files softdevice and application file. also, BLE is visible to oppo phone. I am using nrfconnect in mobile to connect with the board. but BLE is not visible in nrfconnect app.

Using a phone's default Bluetooth scan settings (in the settings menu), it will not show all devices that are advertising over BLE, but only a select few, like HIDs, headphones, etc. You can try downloading the nRFConnect app on your OnePlus and make sure location services are enabled. You should be able to see way more devices, includling the ble_app_uart device.

Are you using a development kit or a custom board? Are you sure that the device has been programmed, and if so, that it has been programmed with both the application code and the SoftDevice?
