Hi there, I eventually did manage to do it with the help of a coworker, but you have to create your own clusters and info from the Z2M side as well so it creates compatibility and recognizes your device, it's a bit of a mess to get it working. If you're only DYIng I would advise something that's already compatible.

I was just wondering if you got anywhere with this. I'm wanting to put together a HA solution using rPi or a linux VM.
There's a lot of super cheap ZigBee dongles on the market, it would be great to use a good quality one like the nRF52840.

I'm aware they're not directly supported, but zigbee2mqtt is suposedly open source, and you should be able to add support for your custom device no matter what it is, you just can't use their "preset" device types, you have to create your own with proper binding to a custom cluster, this is the part I'm failing to achieve.

Hi,

I checked with the zigbee team, unfortunately: "We do not support zigbee2mqtt (and vice versa Nordic devices are not on supported devices list by zigbee2mqtt) therefore we are not able to help with that."

I've already tried to follow those instructions before, seems like for custom devices there are some steps that aren't detailled enough, at least for me. It probably works fine with a custom device that outputs temperature for example as defined by the ZCL standard, however my custom cluster exposes 2 temperatures and a current, so I have to define that somehow on the Z2M side as well.

Following that link I've already managed to add support for my device, it is now recognized, vendor and model and all those things, I just can't get it to receive any data from it.
