&lt;p&gt;You can use the &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/ble_sdk_app_beacon.html?cp=8_1_4_2_2_2"&gt;beacon example&lt;/a&gt; from the SDK. In addition you should use the &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/power/w/opp/2/online-power-profiler-for-ble"&gt;online power profiler app&lt;/a&gt; to estimate the current consumption, and see how it change when you tweak the different parameters such as advertising interval and regulator configuration.&lt;/p&gt;
