I see that CLI example and simple COAP example both have command line interface initilazed. But in cli example I am getting cli on usb port, while in COAP my USB is not getting detected ?

Any update on my issue ? It's been more than a week now waiting for solution.

I bought a new nrf52840 DK board and when I run the thread examples like COAP and MQTTSN, I am able to use openthread CLI using debug/UART port. But I want to access Open Thread CLI port using nRF USB port in COAP and MQTTSN examples.

I hope I have made clear what I want.

When I run the CLI example, I can access the openthread CLI using nRF5 USB port.

So simply how can I switch the interface in thread COAP,mqttsn examples.

RE: Openthread CLI port in nRF5 SDK for Thread example ?

Hey,

Okay as u said CLI can choose either USB or UART and I think in normal mqtt-sn example or coap example UART is configured for thread CLI option.

But in my application I would like to use nRF USB for CLI interface. So how could I switch or configure thread CLI so that I can use USB interface for CLI operations. Hopefully I made my question clear this time around.

RE: Openthread CLI port in nRF5 SDK for Thread example ?

Hello,

I have successfully completed the CLI example in thread folder by building it using Segger studio. CLI example let me use nRF USB as the interface for openthread CLI just what I need.

But issue is with other thread examples were i am not able to get openthread CLI on nRF USB port. I am using nRF2840 DK board only.i have read the docs as well code and I can see that thread cli is getting initialized in code as well. But when I build and flash the dk board I am not able to see my nRF USB port detected as ttyacm0 (basically not getting thread CLI interface via nRF USB)

What should I do to enable thread cli on nRF usb port ?

RE: Openthread CLI port in nRF5 SDK for Thread example ?

Can you please provide more information of the issue you are facing? Are you using the pre-compiled file from i.e. examples\thread\simple_coap_client\hex ? The Thread CLI sample can choose either USB or UART under either FTD or MTD.
