In Zephyr, the Zigbee stack uses the Timer2 indeed, but not an RTC instance anymore, as it now relies on the Zephyr system ticker while sleeping. It does use the RNG instance I mentioned though, and an UART instance or the USB peripheral if you do CLI/logging over UART or USB.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Unfortunately, due to the summer vacation period here in Norway, we&amp;#39;re short on Zigbee experts in tech support at the moment. I did not find any specific peripheral requirement overview for NCS, so I have requested this internally and will get back to you. I&amp;#39;d imagine that the &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fsdk_tz_v4.1.0%2Fthread_zigbee__intro.html&amp;amp;anchor=thread_zigbee_hardware_requirements_zigbee_nRF52840"&gt;peripheral requirements for Zigbee&lt;/a&gt; are the same as in the nRF5 SDK though.&lt;/p&gt;
