we are developing a PCB with a nRF52840 in normal power mode. I know that VDD and VDDH have to be shorted in the normal power mode, but due to a layout error we have this connection missing on our current prototype boards. I already searched

RE: On nFR52840, what are the risks if the connection between VDD and VDDH is missing in normal power mode?

Hi Ketiljo,

We will definitely fix that in the next PCB version. For testing with the prototypes, if we find any suspicious behaviour that might be related to the power supply, we will have to double check that with a fixed PCB.

Best regards,

If VDDH is left open it will follow VDD by one diode drop below. It will probably work, so that the regulator enters normal voltage more, but no guarantee is given if there is any other consequences. You should be ok with the prototypes but make sure it's fixes on the next version.
