You would need to modify the sample to support USB CDC ACM (<a href="https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/1.6.1/zephyr/samples/subsys/usb/cdc_acm/README.html">example</a>) if you want your dongle to enumerate as a virtual com port on your PC.&nbsp;</p> <p>The error reported in the DFU log can be a bit misleading - what it really means is that the Programmer app failed to re-connect to the dongle after updating the application because the new application is not including the <span><a title="DFU Trigger Library (USB)" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/lib_dfu_trigger_usb.html?cp=8_1_3_5_3">DFU Trigger Library (USB)</a></span>.
